Fenestra To Support Lockheed Martin for NARA's Permanent Archives System Initiative

GERMANTOWN, Md -- The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) selected Lockheed Martin as one of two companies that will compete to design a permanent archives system to preserve and manage electronic records created by the Federal government. Fenestra is one of Lockheed's team members on this major initiative to help enable the successful move to government-wide electronic records management.

"Fenestra's influence on the data architecture and handling of the critical metadata aspects were important factors in our solution," according to Jarvis Myrick, Director of Enterprise Solutions, TSS, of Lockheed Martin. "The firm’s experience with the (U.S. Census Bureau's 2002) Economic Census as well as with the eGovernment standards definition were clearly evident."

"We are extremely pleased to be a part of the Lockheed team, and look forward to designing and testing the Electronic Records Archive system," says Rick Rogers, CEO.
