GAITHERSBURG, Maryland, USA - Fenestra Technologies Corporation is pleased to announce the recent addition of Alison Furlong, Senior Web Developer, to its staff.
Specializing in e-business and web development, Alison's most recent work has been in the creation of end-to-end electronic commerce systems. Since joining Fenestra in October 1999, she has developed a web site content management utility, and implemented a web-based time-tracking and management system for use by law firms (see the forthcoming RollCall press release).
"I am thrilled to be working with Fenestra's development team." Alison said, "There are thousands of companies, especially smaller businesses and nonprofit organizations, that could be taking advantage of the Internet, but do not know where to start. I see this as an exciting opportunity to reach out to these companies."
The integration of Alison's talents with those of existing staff lays the foundation for Fenestra to provide comprehensive e-business solutions to its clients - solutions that optimize the capabilities of the Internet and allow growth in the digital marketplace. This new web-development capability complements Fenestra's strong back-end experience. Two Fenestra staff members each have over a decade of experience in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), one of the precursors of electronic commerce, and Fenestra has successfully leveraged the new language of e-business, Extensible Markup Language (XML), in real-world software development projects. That means Fenestra can produce complete systems that provide everything from HTML and graphics, to databases and code that run the web site, to back-end systems for inventory and reconciliation.
Fenestra has a solid history of creating real business value for its clients by providing careful software design, solid implementation, and an understanding of the business context. By applying the same principles, Fenestra can plan and implement the right e-business strategies, which is essential for the success of its clients.
"Bringing Alison onboard demonstrates Fenestra's commitment to ensure its clients measure up to the new business architecture of our time - e-business," said Rick Rogers, Fenestra's President, "Now the foundation is in place to successfully build our e-business practice."
